Possible to update iDrice CCC from DVD?
There's a video on YouTube of a chap seemingly updating his iDrive from the DVD drive to a new version. I'm not sure which modules or what is going on and also what the laptop is doing sitting in the footwell.
Any thoughts?

To update the i-drive, you need to do a full system update on the car - this no one likes doing as its too risky..and can take hours - days...and any component can fail as a result..
bit like upgrading the firmware of a server...once it reboots will it still work..lol
