Sorry, I had the wrong weight entered... the results for max power were actually 282 whp (210 kw) is this a little more realistic?

I read that same thread and this is why i thought my 4.88 may be pretty accurate. Especially because in that thread he noted better performance in cold weather and it was 29 degrees and dry when i did the run. I also had a little less than a quarter tank of gas, making my car lighter than if it was full.

I think 4.88 is very possible. Under your circumstances I wouldn't be surprised.

The 4.78 for a 545 was me.This was done in very cold dry weather.I have done a 4.67 sec 0-60 in my 550I.The temp was 27F and the weather was clear and dry.Cold temps make a large diff in horsepower.Traction is a big problem under these condiitions, but if you get the launch right you can get some very quick times.

I talked to a guy that designs and builds professional GPS based units for automakers. He said that it's not too bad and the results are generally consistant so that you can see the impacts of changes on the vehicle. He said the key is in mounting the unit in the vehicle. If it can move at all you will not get good results.

That's exactly the reason I haven't played too much with mine -- haven't had a chance to figure out which way I want to mount it...
