Snow Chains
Anyone have any experience or recommendation for snow chains that won't scratch a rim!!
I found this: http://www.vulcantire.com/cgi-bin/chainsea...leKSummit_l.htm but for 399 seems a bit steep in price. But the install video they have is cool haha.
And this: http://www.tirechain.com/245-40R-19.htm which seem fine but i'm worried that the sides of the cables might scratch the wheels.
Any suggestions? Oh btw i'm gonna use the 6-series flower power wheels which have 245/40/19's all the way around.

actually this may sound funny, but since you would obviously only use snow chains in an emergency situation, carry a roll of duct tape with you. a couple layers should protect the rim to get you through the hazard until you take them off.
I remember r1racer asking this long time before and he had 124s on still, and I think one person replied saying no dont do it. if youre going up to the mountains, it was suggested before by someone to take an SUV or rent one for the time
Make sure it's a SUV w/4wheel drive. A 2wd SUV will still need chains.
