Getting really excited in moding my First BMW. Hope no one minds me asking so many questions...
I am planning to get my hands on a CD changer for my E60. I wanted to ask two questions:
Q1. There is this Access Panel in my glove box where I can remove it (will take a look tomorrow and take pix) is this where the changer goes?
Q2. Is the wiring there already or will I have to run new wiring and will my radio accept the changer and recognize it?

A1. Yes on the back of the glove box, you may need the mounting slot frame.
A2. It depends on the model year of the car, AFAIK 2007+ came pre-wired.
Otherwise you have to get the fiber optic MOST cabling and connect it to the back of the center dash.
After that you'll need the dealer to 'enable' so it'll show up on the iDrive selection.
GL!
