i failed twice on the plasti dip shadowline, and im very hesitant for going for the third time lol

 

If you remove the trim then paint it it eill be flawless

 

Yeah I wrapped mine and it was the biggest PITA ever. However after three failed attempts on the first piece of trim I got a good method down and wrapped all of it with no bubbles. The only imperfections were in the back curve of the window which is very hard to wrap with such a curve. I ended up taking off each piece, wrapping and then trimming and re-installing it all.

Probably took me 6 hours total. But it really does look great and if I ever get sick of it I can peel it all off pretty easily

 

question where do you remove the trim pieces isnt it easy to bend?

 

honestly I don't know how its done but i always hear people say its really easy at first i didn't look into it because i was in fear of bending it too, but even though doing my plastidip looks great I wish i had known back then what i know now I would of saved myself a bunch of time and painters tape.

I gave it a brief read and it does seem pretty easy good luck I hope you try it again but this time removing the trim also watch the youtube videos online to see him actually applying the plastidip pay attention to how he sprays from left to right without staying in one spot to long and also what distances is he spraying from. If you do everything right I can't see you messing up this time LOL post your pictures when you're done.

 

Yeah you have to be careful. I went too fast on a back piece and bent it slightly but I bent it back and you really can't tell unless it is pointed out. Overall the whole thing looks much better than if I hadn't taken the trim off.
