My First BMW
2006 530xiT. Silver gray metallic. Premium Package, Cold weather package, shadowline, sports seats.
Only 11k miles. Bought it through Carmax...got a 5 year warranty on it. Super happy with it...coming from a 2007 Honda Element so its a big difference. Glad to be in a car again.
So far i've installed the Mtec V3 halos. Happy with them...beats stock any day. Coming up i'll be doing interior LEDs, smoked side markers and bmw welcome lights...also some matte black kidneys.

Nice. So you say you picked up an 06 with only 11,000 miles on it??? Wow. Just sat in someone's garage I guess. Lucky you. Might want to change all its fluids?

I had the same worries about it sitting, etc...but the carfax shows this thing being driven nearly a 1000 every year with frequent service stops at BMW in vegas....a couple of big services too...and apparently one prior to it getting traded in or getting ready for sale to carmax. Start button is 'worn' and it definitely shows signs of use. I think it was likely driven frequent very short distances....

The downside of the low mileage is that the price was at a premium...with the 5 year warranty and tax, it ended up at 25k out the door...carmax has that no haggle pricing remember....

I don't think my start button is "worn" at now 111,000 miles.... maybe gnarly finger nails were clawing at it.
I didn't realize "silver gray" was an actual paint "name" but I looked up a color chart and found it. A08.

i'll post up a picture my button tomorrow...just put on my trinity sourced smoked side markers today.
Tried pulling a kidney off it today at lunch since I got my matte black kidneys in as well...but that didn't go over well...I need to research some threads for pulling them off...its super hard to get the side tabs activated.

My first...1975 R 90/6 motorcycle
in 1995 Sole motorized transport for 4 years
2nd, stepped it up a bit with a new 2006 Z4 M roadster saphire black with sepang bronze seats on black interior....fun as hell. VERY small. No room for anything but a cute passenger and snacks.
3rd, new 2007 328it6 wagon, silver/black, 100% loaded included 19" wheels. So fun on a big US/Canadian road trip.
4th, current E61....

I guess I shouldn't talk.. I'm almost 40 but I've owned way too many cars. This being the first BMW I've personally owned (father had an E46) and Maybe 5 motorcycles too.. (none which were bmw)
