That write up was excellent. I know have come to the realization that I cannot get quad tips with my current 550i bumper and I'm not that motivated at the moment to do the M5 rear bumper mod - how much does that run anyway?
Rear M5 paint and install: est. -+$800. Change to dual exhaust quad tips -+$400-$600 ball park with aftermarket components. Complete systems like RDsport are $3000+ and Remus +1000.

can you buy just the rear M5 rear diffuser to get the dual outlets and it be a direct bolt on to an '08 550i rear bumper(ordered from the factory with the M5 aerodynamic kit if that matters?)

planning on ordering the quad Remus exhaust on Monday

I am not positive, but I thought someone said the Remus exhaust won't work without modification to the M5 rear bumper/diffuser in regards to a Quad setup. Maybe some can elaborate on this.

Thanks for that info - I'm planning on buying the ACS rear diffuser from John at Eurorev if we can ever get enough for the group buy - just need four more I'm going to have the exhaust and diffuser shipped to my office and then borrow my wife's car for the day to see to see if she even notices.

BTW - got the new M6 offset 167 wheels from Garry at Newport and wrapped them in Michelin A/S's with the rears going up to 285 size and had them put on yesterday. They make the car a completely different beast. Now I just need to figure out if I should sell the 172's with Continental ContactSport 2's on them (300 miles) or keep them. Any idea what they should go for. I had a member PM me saying the wheels themselves run $2400 new from BMW but if you take Gary's 25% off and no tax but replaced with shipping - he could probably sell them for just under $2000 for wheels alone. I imagine the wheels are another grand so I'm thinking $2500 plus shipping? Any suggestions - that's about $500 off brand new from BMW and these don't have a mark on them.
