My Quad Exhaust Install---Pictures for Every Step
SoCal.. That's awesome!
So what do you think? your setup sound better than mine? I know you have the CAI though.
I like the xpipe and dual true mufflers, whereas mine is 1 muffler split off. Would love to compare the two now...

does location of the xpipe matter? should it be closer to the mufflers, or closer to the cats?
Also---I have a question about the Hamann Diffuser? Is it possible to bolt it on in place of my current custom M-Tech? Does it bolt off the Hamann bumper like the M-Tech diffuser does of the 550 M-Tech bumper?
Thanks guys!

Hi Guys!
Today was the Big Day at Triple AAA in West LA!
I really don't think I could have done this without the help of a couple of folks on this list. Bimmer 32 and RodyBMW. You guys are truly great people and I'm indebted to both of you. To the other bros who helped with input and advice, a sincere THANK YOU as well.
Let's get to it. (One note--I'm inserting Photos every step of the way so this can hopefully be used as a resource world over for BMW V-8 Quad Installs---Thanks to Alex for the first pictographic Quad Install thread). I'll probably need 3-4 posts to position the photos correctly. (If someone here-maybe a Mod-can post the photos in concert with the steps--that would be very helpful)
Pepe and Chris(?) were instrumental in all of this as the Master Techs at Triple AAA. And guys, I'm fairly certain there is nobody else in CA you should feel more comfortable with regarding BMWs and exhausts. These guys know what they are doing and more than open to listen to you ask questions every step of the way.(which I did) Also MAD PROPS to Phil Altmeir(Owner of Triple AAA) and Jesse Kline for their advice and warmth when responding to my questions/demands.
Step 1--Removing the BMW 08 550i Stock Exhaust(Mufflers and Piping)
The entire component weighs about 100 pounds.(see 2 pics)
Step 2--Installing the Custom Black Diffuser with right side port <Note>(I will be adding Hamaan or M5 Diffuser in Carbon Fiber within 2 weeks)(See One Pic)
Step 3--Showing the First 2 OEM Resonators Cut where X-Pipe is to be installed(2 Pics)
