I have a Motorola V60i (not the BMW model) and was wondering if I get the phone cradle for the BMW V60i model that fits in the center arm rest, will my phone work with the iDrive, steering wheel controls, turn on and off with car, etc. I realize the car has Bluetooth, but I love the V60i and would just like to have it in a cradle in the arm rest so I could use it in hands free mode, and the car would charge it.

yes, it will work. even the color screen version.
the CPT9000 = V60i(t)
but for me it worked with the regular V60i & the v60i Color - 100%. answer calls, make calls, pull records through phone book/contacts & dial - all through iDrive.

Here's an update for anybody else considering this.
My dealer told me that if I install the eject box and have the car programmed to recognize it, that the car's bluetooth capability will be disabled; and if I want to use bluetooth in the future, I'll need to go back and have the car reprogrammed to turn bluetooth back on. I decided to pass, and will likely get a bluetooth phone.

correct. its one or the other. either bluetooth, or the cradle with a BMW compatible phone. (CPT9000- V60it)

stream, if I were in your position, I'd scrap the v60i and just get a BT phone. It'll probably end up being cheaper than converting/programming your car over to the old way and installing the eject box, etc. (I stuck with the CPT9000 because I already bought it when I gambled that BT would never work with MY04 cars...)
