Why is the feature of 'OBEX profile' disabled for the V710 and not the V600. ...

Please confirm the statement made as follows:
"Motorola is developing a firmware upgrade that will restore the OBEX profile on the V710, it will be released on November 2004 and it will be available through Verizon Wireless."

As per your reply, Motorola is developing a firmware upgrade at carrier's request that will restore the OBEXprofile on the V710. It is scheduled to be released in November for Verizon customers. However, this quoted timeframe is not meant to be construed as a guarantee.

Today I got the patch and connected a V710 Verizon phone to my E60.
The Bluetooth setup with the new V710 firmware patch works well now. On one mobile-to-mobile call there was an awful echo though. Most of the callers say I sound good.
For V710 (Verizon) users you have 2 choices:
Get the 8700_01.40.OR firmware upgrade. Send the phone to this VZW store, the only one doing the upgrade:
Attn: Cliff Jackson or Mike Ticer
Verizon Wireless
2403 S Stemmons Fwy# I-10
Lewisville, TX 75067
Call ahead - the phone # is 972-459-7111

I did the patch myself and it went just like the link says. It took about 10 minutes after I installed the software.
Today I got the patch and connected a V710 Verizon phone to my E60.
