It's not just the LEDs. It's the red transparent needles, the alu outter rings and the alu round indicators as well (cruise control - rev limiter) that makes that huge difference.

1. Red transparent needles can be exchanged (not sirynge needles, OK!
). I can be pulled out and pop back it. But the catch is we might brake the white motor. 2. We can use the M5 cluster casing so you can still have the outer aluminum ring.
3. By removing the needes, you can swab the cruise control and rev limiter discs.
LEDs are really small to solder

I think Nick is right and that's why you have the steptronic .
Good luck Fred/Andy/Nick, I'm sure you'll succeed in finding the solution!

And you sit there and watching?

I'm ready to go to Germany to codify the new cluster, but I'm not skilled with chips, solderings etc. .
Sorry!
I was the guinea pig for the Quaife (that I'm sure Andy will get)
We'll keep you all updated
Bye!

I just can't get over rom would lie in the big processor chip. Shouldn't we ascertain the chip type of the ones behind the needles before we conclude to the large chip ?

They stole my Thanksgivings.
