Nick/Andy,
Is is possible if you can take high resolution picture of both instrument cluster board inside? Some production number on the board will be helpful since it might indicate that both M and non-M board are the same.
Thanks,
Fred

Ok Fred, I will remove it and take some inside pics tomorrow, now it's 01.00 and it's raining outside.

J/KThank you both of you Nick and Andy.
The reason I did not say we could swab the whole board is that those white LEDs are not swabbable. They're very small 2mm x 3mm and machine-soldered on those thin wires wrapped around by clear plastics. If we want to remove those LED's, we just risk burning those thin wires. Just FYI

Sold for ? 366 .
I offered 365, lol .
But 400 with shipping was too much : the dealer gives me it -surely new- for 600 . And I have some parts to give him so I could have it for about 300 .
Andy, I'll wait for you!

Andy, I'll wait for you!
but he would install it in your car for 150euros (coded) - I would have gone for higher Alex, told him to keep it and make the trip there and get it installed ! I have the impression when it is new and uncoded it is simpler to clone and code...
don't forget for coding, your car has to be present at the hardware location...it's a different solution to solder the chips from the stock cluster but then you render your stock cluster unusable.
it's not an easy mod - but no pain > no gain !

So, Andy, there would be two solutions ?
Bring the car there in Germany or solder the chip from my old one ?
I have a neighboor very skilled with the solderings
- he works in the chips field
