really...so how long is the proper adjustment time...
To be safe, 100 miles.
Any of us who have actually tuned these cars for a living will tell you that. I can unplug my O2 Sensor from my cat, drive 50 miles before the car even notices. Then, if I plug it in, the car will still have an error for at least 50 miles minimum - usually more like 75-100. The car doesn't just magically sense that something (like intake temperatures, air flow, etc) has changed instantaneously.

Laughable.

LOL there was no horsepower loss. People dyno'd improperly, and didn't give the car time to adjust. When the filter itself increases airflow by leaps and bounds over stock, it is not possible for the car to lose horsepower, hot air or cold.

The only hot air issue here is everyone being filled with it as a result of misinformation.
how do you dyno improperly
And the ecu compensates for the cold or hot air that passes by the maf.....if it's hot/ warm engine bay air...then it's going to feel different compared to a maf that has cool fresh air passing by it.

that's a VERY VERY nice factory. I'm a chemical engineer AND sales. Are they hiring? looks like fun.

When I had the AFE intake and brought it to Dinan to have them flash the ecu, they of course laughed at it and said it was a backyard intake....well, as usual, they'll bash anything that's not Dinan. Intakes really do not give much more horses. Even on a turbo car. WHen I had the Evo, someone had a stock airbox and I had the HKS and all other mods including boost controller, DP, Cat, exhaust etc are exactly the same. Some runs, he had more hp, some runs i had more. avergae them out, I only had afew more.
