Has anyone touched their xcarlink, alekshop or modmynav units after 15-20 mins? In 70 degree F weather the modmynav unit gets extremely hot almost unbearable to touch. Could possibly burn you wondering if this can withstand Las Vegas 100+ degrees temperatures and last? I've never opened one up to look at the internal components but I'm guessing these units won't last long?

I agree. They get damn hot, especially if you shove everything right behind the iDrive screen. That said - mine has lasted me well.
