I have the non-sport 530i with H&R springs.
I bottomed out (rear) a couple of times on some very large bumps going at 50mph+
Other than that, I do not have a harsh ride.

It really sounds like something else is wrong. I love the combination of the non-sport softness with the tighter springs and 19" wheels. It seems to be the best of both worlds. If you have having roughness, there may have been an installation issue.

Maybe I'm making it worst than it seems.

I'm just used to the original BMW ride, non sport.

I'm worried once I get 19's, it'll rub / hit the fender.

yea, the bumps I hit were like 30-40 mph's. darn suprise bumps / potholes. I hate NYC sometimes.

Any signs I can tell if it is done wrong?

My Ride: 535d Sport, carbon black, media pack, visibility pack, grey leather, heated seats, sun protection glass, voice control, Eibach ProKit, 19" 166 style wheels, e-maps ECU remap to 325hp and 640NM, top speed limiter removed

I run the Eibach ProKit on my 535d sport with 10x20 ET20 on the rear on 275/30/20 tyres.

With max load and taking motorway long and short frequency bumps at over 100mph, they do not catch in the slightest and my arches are not rolled.
Same on speed bumps. I never bottomed out, but then I have the sport dampers, but it still shouldn't bottom out on standard dampers

also, I just realized, I think I got it wrong... The front or any portion of the car doesnt bottom out. only thing that happens is the wheel hits the fender plastic a bit. of course when its a hardcore bump.

bah. I probably need new shocks.

Shocks / Struts for E60

Hey Guys, what's the difference between the Bilstein HD strut and the Bilstein Sport Strut?

What about the Koni Sport strut?

Keep in mind that I have a Non-Sport 530i.

which one of these shocks will make the ride like a OEM Sport package car?

The biggest difference you'll feel is there isn?t anymore of that bump steer feeling, road manners are smooth. I drive in crapiest roads a so cal city can have. the only negative I have seen with the setup is when you have 3 passengers and you have to go up a elevated driveway entrance or go over a speed bump, Of course then you need to be cautious. I have gone over railroad crossings without hesitating, small pot holes, uneven roads even dips in the road and haven?t had a problem. The swooping on ramps and interchanges on the freeway are really fun to be on.

The icing on the cake would be the stoptech big brake kit along with M5 sways to compliment the new found handling

All of them are excellent. The Koni FSD is class and keeps most of the ride comfort, the Koni yellow are an outright sport damper.

The difference on the Bilstein, I can only assume that one is the Bilstein B6 Sport and the other one (more expensive) the Bilstein B8 Sprint.
They are pretty similar, but the B8 Sprint is also shortened to complement lowering springs to pretty serious drops. They normally are not that different in price, though.
I had the B8 Sprint on my former E39 and found them perfect.

So I am torn between Pro Kit or Sporline. I'm installing 20s soon but don't know if 1.2 is enough drop. Are most people goign with Pro kit over the sport line?
