head rest upgrade

My Ride: 2005 530i JETBLACK/BLACK DAKOTA, COLD WEATHER PKG, PREMIUM PKG, ADAPTIVE XENON HEADLIGHTS, AUTO TRANSMISSION WITH 6 SPEED STEPTRONIC, BLUETOOTH SETUP,SAT SETUP AND WIFE AS CO-PILOT
looking to upgrade or retrofit my 530i headrest... due to the fact that my head does not reach the hr or support my neck>> any help would be apreciated...

I feel the same way. The easiest would be to mount one to those ugly looking little neck cushions with an elastic band aroud the original head rest.
But if u happen to find a better upgrade, please share with me (us). Thx

The reason is the "Head rests" are actually "Head restraints". They are designed to restrain your head in a accident, not to "rest" your head on, though thats what most people think they are for
The comfort seats have "head rests", and they can be moved closer to your head

If you do a search on this topic you'll see it has been discussed many times before. I'm afraid you cannot switch the standard?sport seat headrest (same design for both seats) for the comfort seat headrest. I tried this mod but the support poles that fit into the seat back are a different diameter on the two design and the actual headrests themselves are not interchangeable on the poles due to a different mounting design.
