Hi

I have a question for those owner with comfort seat as an option. I was wondering if you can manually take out the head rest? What I am trying to figure out is that if you can fit the comfort seat headrest to sports seat. I have purchased 545 w/sports. thanks in advance.

It seems as if several others have successfully mounted the comfort seat headrests on sport-seats (have seen posts about it on roadfly). I have tried to check whether it is possible to fit them on std seats, but the person at BMW parts that I talked to indicated that this was not possible. I will continue to dig into this though!

My dealer says yes, comfort headrests will fit sports seats but is unsure as to if they can go on standard seats due to the non-electric mechanism (ie ridges in the supporting rods.)

I'm also still trying to get a definative answer as I'd really like them on my standard seats

Together with the parts-person we looked at the mechanism for the supporting rods, and from what we could tell on the pictures there did not seem to be any difference between the standard seat and the comfort seat. What we were unsure about was whether the distance between the rods differed on the standard seat and the comfort/sport seat.
