Halogen Headlight Question

I have an 04 530 with the ugly yellow halogen NON-PROJECTOR headlights. I was looking to upgrade to xenon via the H7 kit but have read that without projectors, I may be blinding other drivers. As anyone done this, is this true?
If so, what if I were to buy an entire headlight assembly that has projectors and xenons, then take out the xenon bulbs (bc according to BMW they wouldnt work in my car) then used the H7 kit to convert my halogen bulbs to xenon....would this work? Is there a kit that does this?
Sorry, I have searched this before but have not found anythign specfic to my problem.
