I'm a bit confused with all of this..sorry

one question...i have power fold std mirrors(via button).....if i fitted folding M5 mirrors can they be coded to auto-fold with key or do you need major wiring changes??

If you already have the auto fold then you can get your dealer to program the fold-by-key. Your M5 mirrors will work like your std mirrors.

Hi Bruce your method is going to be more complex but I'm not knocking it. Sounds great. Although for the basic functionality I was after the switch works beautifully.

Routing the cables is not an issue make sure you use thinwall 11A singles auo cable as space is tight through the door gaiter. Yes you'll need to pull away the door membrane momentairily but the biggest issue is routing inside the door to body connection gaiter avoiding the main wires and sharp edges of the car body. Wires will all squeeze inside the gaiter but below the main connector luckily so should not get rubbed into.

I'd like somebody to generate an improved innoparts module that would give my functionality with direct wire connections to the car only. It can be done cheaply using motor robotics controllers. It would make this add on straightforward. I nearly did that myself but actually glad I didn't in the end as there was enough to contend with anyway!
