Not specialist here, but i think you can code VO in other units, for example: like you do combox retrofit you have to code new VO to cic using ssd file, other way combox control will not appear on cic or you change some units, you have to code them to your car. I think LM and CAS just saving VO.
Hope that helps to clarify that for you. You should not FA_WRITE other modules.

When in comfort mode you should be able to just choose the ECU family and the program does the rest.
If you updated the HU_CIC you also need to update both ZGWs and the CMB_Media.

You shouldn't see any CICs you should see something like CMAxxx. Whatever shows up in SGBD in INPA that's what you should be looking for.
when you say "update the dependencies" probably this is the key for me, but I have no idea what dependencies need to be updated and is it using winkfp?
