Do you suggest to code car's original VO (Pre CIC VO) back using FA_WRITE before checking with ISTA?

BTW, when I read the CIC vin using 'CIC Mafia' application and 'SW-ID reader' tool they both show donor car's vin, but in Tool32 it shows my VIN using cicr.prg file

Check ISTA first. Your CIC should be showing the donor vin. I don't see how Tool32 is seeing a different VIN. Set it to see if it will change

 

When running ISTA-P, it starts off showing control module as below

and then once complete, it shows as below

 

Yust guessing maybe your cic flashed with non e60/61 data.

 

It needs to be reflashed. Ensure your VO is correct also. What version of ISTA are you running.

 

Or Find member "TeflonDon" from here, he is very helpfull. He helped to solve my combox retrofit issues on my E61.

 

For a second I thought the same but then this came off of a 2010 E60 and the VIN confirms that.

There must be a simple communication settings issue that can be easily resolved by low level coding that should be easy for a seasoned coder.
