You FA_WRITE the VO only to the CAS/LMA or the CAS/FRM (depending on the car). However, you SG_CODIEREN any modules - which default codes them by the VO written to the respective modules (the process requires you to read the VIN/VO from those modules prior to coding). Still, you can set the VO to be written, and then SG_CODIEREN a module without actually FA_WRITE'ing said VO to the CAS OR LMA first; You simply read the original VO from one of those respective modules, then modify the FA, then go ahead and process an ECU. This process gets to be time consuming, however, and so an SSD file is a much more efficient way of choosing the VIN/VO combination you want NCS_EXPERT to use when SG_CODIEREN'ing modules.

Hope that helps to clarify that for you. You should not FA_WRITE other modules.

When in comfort mode you should be able to just choose the ECU family and the program does the rest.

If you updated the HU_CIC you also need to update both ZGWs and the CMB_Media.

Yes, Sean, thats what I remember you mentioning before. But as I have shown in post#41 above, I am not seeing any of the CIC modules at all in the list
Wish they show up, then the rest might become easy

You shouldn't see any CICs you should see something like CMAxxx. Whatever shows up in SGBD in INPA that's what you should be looking for.

Have you updated your files also on the computer? Also update the dependencies before continuing

I am using V67 daten files and updated winkfp using bmwcodingtool and also directly from winkfp.

when you say "update the dependencies" probably this is the key for me, but I have no idea what dependencies need to be updated and is it using winkfp?

These are all the modules I have

thanks

Do you have a mask option? Did you always have CCC/CIC
