RPI - It's been done? Please post the actual results of the runs with 3 stock e60 cars and 3 stock e60 cars with AFE only.

Basic tuning? Aren't you supposed to tune the car after the mods have been made? You're making my point that the AFE isnt working with the JB3. Again, which specific product isnt working? You'd have to test each possible configuration to find the specific culprit or culprits.

Pics of cars on a dynos don't mean shit, especially ones of three different cars testing the same product. Someones going to have to explain that one to me. (Don't its just rhetorical.)

I'm done.

Easy explanation. Rambird, having gotten his M5 recently, drives it hard and often whereas JC58 rarely ever drives his. When JC58 does drive, he babies his M5. Remember folks, the car learns your driving habits and makes the adjustments accordingly.
Yeap, the car learns your driving style. If you don't drive her hard or redline often. The ecu parameter will use the default parameters. You can see the a/f graph after 7200 RPM, the car was running rich since I was babying the car. THen I drove it hard for a week, redyno, the a/f was right around 12.5

Now, with EM_5, he's having an exhaust leak that will soon be prepared. Adjustments were made by an exhaust shop other than RPI.
Good to know. So they're probably around the same then. That makes sense.

May not be as much as 20hp if you factor unknow varience between motor to motor, some motor just strong from factory. But a/f ratio will give you a good indication on how the car running.

Edit: i have seen 2-3 cars when driving soft, the a/f got dip rich and of course, you lose some power there.

Gotcha. Well, I'm going to continue keeping my car in M Mode, redlining it all the time and doing 1 launch per week. Hahahaha!

Here are the dyno graphs. http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e60-m5-e6...yno-review.html

Just curious, have you tuned a car before?

This is a picture of one of the timing maps vs. IATs. Modern ECUs all operate in a similar manner. Notice how the hotter the IAT (intake air temps) are, the less timing advance there is? Where it starts to get hot, there is actually timing retard. The same thing goes with the fuel mixture.

The difference is actually greater than 20rwhp. If you consider that the RPI scoops add about 10-15rwhp as demonstrated on other M5s that have been dynoed with this mod, then does that mean JC58's car is actually only putting down about 368-373rwhp stock????

How about removing the scoops and re-dyno his car and then also doing another dyno after he abuses it for a few weeks?
