I've just got firmware 2.11. Anyone want to try that and report progress. We know that 2.08 is fine and we can easily rollback.

EDIT : I've removed this firmware link on Dension's request. Please contact their support team in case you want it.

Peter, GW500, the f/w update ver 2.11 that you gave works great!!! Thanks man... I noticed that everything loads slightly quicker than ver 2.08. Basically, everything works well...

What are the changes in this f/w update you gave? is it similar to ver 2.10 that didn't work for my setup?

When will 2.11 make it to the website for public download?

Just installed it today. Took some time to do a neat job of a plug and play power solution too. Used the CDC power itself but with no cut wires or connectors. Used all the OEM BMW connectors for this. Tried a USB stick and it works well. Tomorrow I will try a USB harddrive. Still haven't got a clean install because I don't know where to hide the dension box. Because its got connectors coming out from two sides its a bit of a pain to install. My idea is to route the USB and iPOD wires into the center console underneath the phone. Its the best place to keep a device cool. Would like a better location for the AUX and the CDC flip switch so that I can switch to CDC when I want instead of looking inside the GloveBox.

Cool... I still wonder why it didn't work for me. But since it works for you, I'm gonna say, I'm sure its the MP3 not enabled on my car.. Oh well, my loss. Enjoy your unit..

didn't i tell you that it was your mp3 enabling that was suspected causing the problem? remember? oh well, at least look at the bright side, you can still get it again later (if you want), but at market price, US$500.00 shipped...

bruce, you won't be using your CDC when you've got more than 5000++ songs & 30++ videos on your iPod...your cdc will be used ocasionally(at least when you buy a new album)...trust me on this bruce, i've been on GW500 mode since day one of the install and still on it until now...

but, the idea of routing the iPod and USB port in the center console is a good and practical idea...do a DIY on it...i might also want to do this on my car too...at least, anyone interested in relocating the ports will do it the proper way (with minimal mistakes)...

Does the Dension IPOd adapter have limitations like BMW IPOd adapter? 255 playlists/only shows few artists upto J or something
