anyone used this product... i notice they have Contact Cleaner with NO Residue and with Lubrication and if you drill in the page they have Cleaners and Degreasers

My Ride: 545i Sport

Here's my DIY: Now with pictures (thanks Lomag)
-Disconnect MAF sensor harness. Loosen clamps with 1/4? nut driver.
-Unclip upper half of air box and lift carefully. Rotate upper half of air box 180 degrees.
Remove charcoal filter if present (Performance Improving Mod).
- MAF sensor is now accesible through the intake hole. Follow instructions on CRC MAF Sensor cleaner for use.
-Install housing back on, tighten clamp and re-attach harness.
-Disconnect MAF sensor harness. Loosen clamps with 1/4? nut driver.
-Unclip upper half of air box and lift carefully. Rotate upper half of air box 180 degrees.

On the 530d the MAF is on the LHS (looking from the front) under the engine cover. its on the intake manifold

I took off the bottom body cover (not only the oil pan cover but the whole plastic cover but did not find the wrench anywhere But I also notice there is a big metal cover right under the engine bay, just above the plastic cover. On the '08/'09s, the MAF is part of the upper lid of the airbox.
I went into mine and removed the charcoal filter and put the orange back in but the orange is not exactly a perfect fit which I thought was unusual. Perhaps the RPI filter will be a better fit.
Now, I loosened the clamp that holds the upper lid of the airbox to the intake tube but I was unable to work out of the intake tube so I could spray it down. Should I just tug on it a bit harder for it to come out?
