Very late to the party. I am looking at doing this retrofit, now that I know I am going to keep the car for another few years (I am going to replace the turbos thus keeping it)
my question. I have a 2009 LCI model.
From the factory I have the LCI Climate control unit and the newer Idrive unit, and the new USB connector in the arm rest with Aux input.
I realize I need the CIC unit itself. However does anyone know if I need a new screen? It seems like if I already have some newer items, perhaps I do not need the monitor. Does anyone have a 2009 that can chime in? This would mean I just need the CIC module and two cables correct?
I can do my own programming--do reazlize I have some but not as much as others who are putting in an LCI Climate unit.
thank you

I have the same issue. The connectors between the CIC and screen are different than the CCC. Therefore a new screen is required. I am still trying to figure out how to install the CIC into my 2009 LCI with the CCC update 2, as I have found that many connectors are different. Any assistance would be welcome.
PS: I was also informed that the HUD from the CCC will not work with a CIC retrofit. Is that correct?
