are the CCC unit & monitor same?

does anybody know please if the CCC drive & monitor are the same in the 5/6 series?
i know the i-drive controllers are, but are the units interchangeable (trim aside obviously)

yes they are. My CCC came from a 645 convertible. Before I had the car coded it showed the convertible mode check button on the Climate Control page.

As others have said, they're probably compatible but to make sure, you can look the parts up on http://www.realoem.com and compare part numbers...

you should have tried lowering the roof on your E60

thanks ice/rudy.

it wasn't to control the top- it was an additional option under the auto programs. It had high/med/low and a separate one underneath for convertible mode. I guess it lets you set different climate control programs depending on top up or down.

Still, kinda fun to see. PO left a burned CD of weird belly-dance-meets-techno music in the drive, too.
