I just curbed one of my brand new SSR-GT3 wheels today... 2-inch gash.? From what everyone is saying, it looks like local wheel shops can repair this. I sure hope so, else I'm out another $600 to TireRack... Anyone recommend a shop in the Bay Area?

Wheel techniques at Santa Clara. They always do a good job in repairing wheels. My old wheels were fixed by them and they did a great job.

Thanks man... this shop was actually recommended to me separately as a place where I could get my calipers painted. It's good to know they can do this too. Here is their web site:

Wheel Tech fixed my wheels today... great job, the two wheels they did look just like new. Lucky that the SSR-GT3s I have are just polished, not painted or chromed, so it was a straightforward job. They weren't cheap at $150 a wheel, but YGWYPF as I've seen many times.
