My dealer has a wheel repair guy who comes to the dealership to do wheel repair. They claim after he's done, you can't tell where the scratch/rash was.
They're going to repair one of my wheels as soon as my new tires are mounted. Clearly, it's cheaper than a new wheel and most likely worth it...

Hey, Rudy - I'm curious. Is the rash on a snow tire set up or your 124s? Reason I am curious is because my 124s with the Dunlop RF seems darned near impervious to curb rash. As we come up on our mutual anniversary, I am rash free. Never would have believed that. I'm not that good.

It was on the summers. Here's a tickler for your memory:

The key is that I didn't run up over the curb, I sideswiped it -- enough to move the rear of the car laterally...

I was thinking of leaving the rashed wheel there for a little longer so I wouldn't worry too much about future rash incidents but since the wheels are simply sitting at the dealer right now waiting for new tires, I figured I'd go ahead and get it done.
I don't have any "before" photos so unfortunately, I won't be able to post any good before and after pics...

The after will look like the original. Those fellows are really good at what they do. Paint matching is the biggest problem and good ones carry all of the OEM finishes.

Yes your scratched rims can be fixed at any wheel repair store. The price varies on the damage of your rims..

I just curbed one of my brand new SSR-GT3 wheels today... 2-inch gash. From what everyone is saying, it looks like local wheel shops can repair this. I sure hope so, else I'm out another $600 to TireRack... Anyone recommend a shop in the Bay Area?
