I'd say if you are taking the trouble of upgrading then go straight to the Pro Nav.

I've already answered this .

It seems that the unit remembers the last track played, but I realized that the unit now can't read audio cds anymore . Most probably something went wrong with the programming.

Hi kekkos,

Maybe you can have an answer... I tried to ask around the forum.

I am trying to install a Dension 500 with BTA1500 bluetooth module. If GW500 works fine, BTA1500 module don't because my car has no bluetooth option activated in CCC. Of course, I have not a TCU.

My question: do you think possible to program bluetooth option without a plugged TCU ? I think is the only way to make BTA1500 works. Then , I could use idrive to manage calls, like original bluetooth equipment.

Here is a condition from BTA1500 user guide: "If it is needed, enable the factory Bluetooth module with a diagnostic computer."

Best regards and thanks.

Hi bandido,

I'll have the answer to your question next Monday

According to the member user GW500 you can visit your dealer and ask him to enable bluetooth. Actually, he was talking about GW500 and AVR module that are recognize by dealer's computer as ipod and TV module respectively. Most probably you have seen it, but here is the post anyway.

Hi,

Thanks, I'll be waiting for your experience.
I asked to GW500 and Dension support directly but no answer for the moment.

Good luck !

Cool

After few hours on the SA today we managed to install Dension's Gateway 500. I don't have CDC preparation and this caused as some delay during the installation. The GW500 has been programmed as ipod retrofit without any problems. We did't have time for Bletooth retrofit so I have to visit SA again next week.
Last time I mentioned that there is a problem and the unit does not play audio cds. It turns out that everything is ok. It just didn't like the brand I use for burning cds. Other original/copy cds work just fine now.
Below are some pictures of my new game Sorry for the low quality but I took them using my iphone.
