On a side note, the Official FAQ on this site needs to be update to reflect this Aux Audio option. It still lists/recommends the FM Transmitter option.

I payed 2 hrs labor at a total of $192.00 plus $39.95 for the part. They used the part for a E39. Tech told me it is the same cable.. That was at my dealer which is about 45 mins outside NYC in Upper Bergen County NJ...

Ok. Just read through all 23 pages!
Can anyone confirm this? The E39 AUX Connector is the same as the E60 AUX Connector (502)?
Thanks!

Andy,
it was just the standard cig lighter under the glove box, not inside. I'm sure you have it standard as well. no camera, sorry!

Have you seen this little device? Converts your flashlight outlet into a power outlet - you can charge your phone right inside the glovebox!

Hi...I'm brand new here (though I've been lurking for a while). I have a July 2004 built 530i with nav and logic 7. I want to get an aux adaptor input for the stereo, but my dealer is telling me it doesn't exist. BMWNA seems to think otherwise.
Anyone know for sure? Thanks.

Welcome aboard, dr.wu
!
There is an AUX Input that can be retrofitted.
A lot of us have it installed allready and it works perfect. Also some ppl in the US.

Well I just got an email back from BMWNA who said that the adaptor is not available. Very confusing and frustrating.
