Hello gang,
Looking through another forum I came across an interesting document
that may be a way around to have an aux. output.
The pdf document looks like an official BMW intern instruction how to
effectuate the job -
This could be a good gate to put the Ipod (or else) the only restriction
is that I couldnt see anything to feed the ipod with electricity , but I may
be wrong there
Andr?

I cannot read languages with characters such as Chinese, Arabic, etc. Only languages with Latin characters. ![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)
Sorry for hijacking jokes. B2B:
Anyone can pull the above doc from TIS (English version).
There are thousands of E60 owners waiting for this![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)
Thanks in advance.

It is an AUX input. It is to be installed in the glove compartment (kind of stupid) where a US spec car has the torch light!!! When installed you can select AUX in your entertainment menu.
I don't know if you can install it in a different place, but I think it is possible... Not sure though... The cable doesn't seem to be very long... Anyways, it is an AUX input, 3.5mm jack... It doesn't say Stereo, but I'm pretty sure it is Stereo...

I read it and can tell you the following:
