damn i cant live without my music i know its tough. I just cant imagine that u need a factory amp to produce the sound it just doesnt make logical sense to me because everything comes from the headunit. what are you gonna do at the junkyard salvage a factory bmw amp? now that i am thinking since that little tinker toy of a oem amp somehow powers 10 speakers if you were gonna live without it wouldnt u need a 10 channel amp i dunno that they even sell those lol. Maybe your best bet is to just get a replacement factory amp so maybe its not an excuse to get a new aftermarket amp.lol

1200 dollars for that....do you know what it looks like inside i mean take a look at this. also this is why i think that what they said is false because in response to my post SURFACE totally replaced the oem amp...take a look at the bottom of the post

This completely depends on what type of amp you have. That link is for replacing the Hi-Fi amp with an aftermarket - that is very easy (see my thread as well). But if you have the L7 then its a bit more of a problem. But again you don't need to buy the original L7 amp if you want to go aftermarket. But you will need to buy a MOST interface for the sound and then a new 7 channel amp.
