Anyone know if the amp has to be "programmed" or if I could use an amp from a 645/745 that has L7 ??

400 that is terrible for that little thing.

This completely depends on what type of amp you have. That link is for replacing the Hi-Fi amp with an aftermarket - that is very easy (see my thread as well). But if you have the L7 then its a bit more of a problem. But again you don't need to buy the original L7 amp if you want to go aftermarket. But you will need to buy a MOST interface for the sound and then a new 7 channel amp.

keep your eyes peeled on ebay. I got an individual amp for $200. haven't coded it yet though. there were L7s all over the place.
