Like i said earlier, i removed and sold most of my alpine stuff and decided to go back to using the factory source because of a new product that came out named the Audison BitOne. this is the ultimate oem factory integration dsp unit.
Heres a before and after set up on a E92 M3.

With this set up you can keep your factory radio. Theres no reason to add an aftermarket radio if you have the BitOne. Believe me using your factory radio with the bitone will kill most aftermarkets radios.
If i were you, this is what i would do.
1. Buy a Audison bitone.
2. Get a portable navigation unit.
3. Dension 500 for your ipod and usb.
4. Your choice of amps and speakers
5. Your choice of subs.
Believe me this will save you a lot of money and headaches. Your install will be a lot simple and you get to keep your steering wheel controls.
Here's a screenshot of the Bitone software.

Its the ultimate advanced factory oem integration unit that works like the Jl cleansweep but its 100 times better. It de-equalize your factory source and sends a clean, flat signal going to your amps.
Its also a DSP with 31 band graphic EQ per channel, 8 channel time alignment, 8 channel hi,lo and bandpass crossovers.

Nelson, where did you source your inputs for the BitOne? Speaker Level froom the factory amp?
When did you buy yours? Some people are having issues with the first production batch.
I can't believe that horrible center channel they did in the first link. That is just awful looking.

Seems like everything else fits well with the car, but that looks so out of place.
