fear, without posting who you are or where you work, you dont have any credibility.
give us some hard facts.
i have no credibility because i dont drive a bmw and you dont like what i had to say, you dont need to know anything about me.

i gave you hard facts.
the owner of the car gave you hard facts
feel free to call the guy who owns the dyno.

but unless you hear what you want you arent going to believe anyone, knowing who i work for wont make any difference. nobody is changing their minds, so whats the point?

Can I have my 20 minutes it took to read this thread back? Seems like we are right back where we started(in the thread).

I will ask one question, ok, maybe more than one. Is it the afe intake itself that is bad? Is there no good CAI for the E60 made, the 530 in particular? Or is the theory that a CAI in general is useless? I have asked before wouldn't the ram air and a CAI create more HP?
I know that BMW researches every aspect of performance but if they did everything to the max there would be no aftermarket enhancements made for the cars. Look at the difference between an E36 and E46 M3, on the E36 there were all kinds of goodies including software upgrades. But with BMW tweaking, the same motor produced about 90 more hp and there were very few upgrades short of forced air.

Oh yea, I want to see the video too......I'm just saying...

IMO... I think AFE is good for cold climates places (specially fall/winter seasons) such Canada, Scandinavian countries, Russia, etc... because all we know it is a H(Hot)AI but should work well on cold climates... just IMO.

I tried posting about 6 times today and kept deleting cause I'll see new posts that just blows my mind at the maturity level of the people here. You guys stoop lower and lower with every post. What a shame....

One thing I will say is, get over it with the damn video. It's irrelevant. I recall Eloy tested with the hood open on a car with the aFe intake and it still lost power so what's the f'in point of trying to see that video??

I only wish you guys can have some sense of self-decorum to discuss this topic on a factual basis so that people like me can benefit from the info instead of getting so emotionally charged up and resorting to name calling and sarcasm. It doesn't help that a bunch of bench warmers are tossing in stupid remarks and insinuations either.

Loooooong shot request but how about starting over with a new thread and discussing the facts? If not then just go your separate ways.

Fear, you dont have to have bmw to have credibility.
But posting information in our forum especially when it contradicts other member's findings requires credibility.
Otherwise, like you said, we cant believe everything being posted on the internet, which is what you did the WHOLE day.

this thread wreaks of defeatism

Fear and his lil cousin: You guys are not doing yourselves a favor by coming on here and shitting on established people that have taken the time and spent the money to figure out what actually works and what doesnt

Do you either of you guys happen to own a subway by any chance?
