I tried posting about 6 times today and kept deleting cause I'll see new posts that just blows my mind at the maturity level of the people here. You guys stoop lower and lower with every post. What a shame....

One thing I will say is, get over it with the damn video. It's irrelevant. I recall Eloy tested with the hood open on a car with the aFe intake and it still lost power so what's the f'in point of trying to see that video??

I only wish you guys can have some sense of self-decorum to discuss this topic on a factual basis so that people like me can benefit from the info instead of getting so emotionally charged up and resorting to name calling and sarcasm. It doesn't help that a bunch of bench warmers are tossing in stupid remarks and insinuations either.

Loooooong shot request but how about starting over with a new thread and discussing the facts? If not then just go your separate ways.
My apologies T. if I offended the Grand Poobah in any way!

feel free to call the guy who owns the dyno.

but unless you hear what you want you arent going to believe anyone, knowing who i work for wont make any difference. nobody is changing their minds, so whats the point?
Its no different and you are still afraid to tell who you are. I tune domestics and have been for a few years now. I use ls2edit and HPT to tune them. Some people bring the hand held tuners but they are limited. The same works for the domestic cars. Ive seen people bring silly looking intakes like this for mustands, chargers, etc and I have never seen one make power without cooldowns or hood open. We actually had quite a feel GM dealerships selling out stuff around the US and in Canada. So, again, I really dont think you know jack about all this stuff and if you were really in the industry so long, people would know who you are. Are you afraid? lol

Still talking about this, huh?

You guys are something else. Notice I didn't post any additional information? Anyone bothered to ask themselves why?

Because I did this on the level and you cats are all personalizing the conversation. I can post the video of the dyno, pics of my car on the rollers, etc... but so what? All that's going to happen is people who are unqualified, don't own an E60 M5, or have a vested interest in a negative outcome are going to further suggest I'm a liar, a scam artist, or somehow have something to gain from the results.

I did this because I wanted to see for myself, which I did. I'm truely sorry I couldn't report back the info you wanted or expected, but it is what it is.

At the end of the day, no one is trying to sell anyone else an intake and the results speak for themselves. I can't tell you how this sours me to owning the car, as well as a vendor or two who will never get my business, as well as some of the members of this website. I get that it's easy to say things behind the anonymity of a keyboard, but some of you are like school on Saturday; no class.

Either you have it or you don't, so for that I'm a little sad.

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.

Enjoy the ride,
Alan

guess you're the professor?

Dood, don't loose your cool on account of some close-mindednes. I appreciate your effort and this thread - I think you gave a good unbiased opinion. Now, whether your stock M5 with AFEs will beat a stock M5 with RPI scoops on the road, I guess, remains to be seen... but I am ignorant - I didn't want to read the 12 pages of bickering following the OP, so I went straight to your last post.

Either way, I think you did an admirable job posting this
