Well, he's supporting his friend too, the one who bought the intake he was trying to sell on BimmerFest for $500.

From the looks of these dyno videos, I have a hard time believing the M5 dyno had the hood closed,

I dont even want to get into this with you because its obvious where you are coming from. I dont think you have a tuning background at all because all you have said was that this worked. The dry filter stuff has been around for a long time and its no rocket science. Hell, BMWs own M division did the best they could to see how much power they can get out of the M5 and the best they could do was 580hp over the stock hp. So, you mean all they had to do was put on this intake to get 20hp? Damn, they wasted a ton of money on cams, stroking the engine, new exhaust, etc.

I've asked and I will ask again since you make yourself seem like a tuning expert. How does this intake work and why/what makes it better than the stock one? How does it improve VE therefor making more power?
DOTN BE A JACKASS, THATS PEAK HP, THIS MADE ABOUT 4 PEAK HP, IM NOT GETTIGN INTO VOLUMETRIC EFFICINECY NOW, I DONT CARE AND ITS TIME FOR ME TO GO HOME, BUT ITS PRETTY OBVIOUS THE INTAKE TRACT IS LESS RESTRICTIVE THAN THE STOCK SETUP.

I DONT NEED TO GIVE YOU MY RESUME, BUT I HAVE MADE MY LIVING IN THE SPEED INDUSTRY FOR 12 YEARS NOW, IM NO NOOB.

AND WHEN I SAY "IT WORKS" I MEAN IT DIDNT LOSE 25 HP LIKE ADVERTISED BY THE FORUM MEMBERS HERE.

FACT IS ABOUT 100 PEOPLE CLAIMED THIS THIS WAS GONNA COST SO MUCH POWER AND HE GOT RIPPED OFF, HOW MANY OF THOSE PEOPLE PUT THIS INTAKE ON THEIR M5 AND DYNO'D IT. FACT IS UNLESS YOU HAVE DONE IT WITH YOUR 2 HAND AND EYES, STFU I DONT CARE WHAT YOU THINK. I KNOW WHAT I DID, I KNOW WHAT I SAW.

EDIT, M SHOULD HAEV JUST USED YOUR INTAKE:
RPi's Ram Air Scoops converts your factory intake system into a ram air type. Other aftermarket induction kits mostly suck in hot air causing a loss of performance. The use of heatshields are not very affective as heat shields mainly work to block radiant heat. Utilizing the stock intake boxes, expect a 10 - 15 whp gain with 70mph airflow. RPi's Ram Air systems have been dyno proven as well as track proven and come with a 30-day money back guarantee. Ram Air Intake Kits include a high performance BMC air filter.

YOU MADE 10-15 WHEEL HP WITH A PANEL FILTER. SURE YOU DID. AND DONT GIVE ME THIS 70MPH BS. YOU WANT TO TRASH THE AFE ONTHE ROLLERS, BUT YOU REQUIRE A 70MPH HEADWIND YOU CANT POSSIBLY GET ON A DYNO? WHAT DOES IT MAKE TO THE WHEELS ON A DYNO?

As you're aware finding it was no problem, not difficult at all.
The issue at hand still stands, which is how you dyno'ed that M5.
Given what these videos show, we are inclined to believe that it
follows the norm, which is hood up --- unfortunately.

Btw, if you were educated enough in the subject, you would be
aware that neither pjinca nor myself are M5 wannabes. I have
the M-tech front, which is different than an M5

And he has the full M-tech kit, again -- same sides but different
front and rear than the M5
