For $30k go get a 2002 or 2003 E39 M5. No better car on the planet for that money.
02 is already 6 years old? The interior of the E39 is way inferior to the E60's. Think technology.....6 years in PC life is like 20 years in real life. Technology progresses much faster than everything else. Plus at 4.50 a gallon (premium) it's going to eat more than a nice 530......Plus you have to consider that milage on a 6 year old car is more as well, meaning brakes, tires, ect. much sooner.......Maybe if you are talking about a 2nd car then the e39 might make sense but for a daily? NO!

Hmmmm...seriously, buy a used 06-07 Saab 9-5 Aero and have a fantastic car, quick, very comfortable, excellent on gas, safe and cheap. Expect to spend ~$20K for a low mileage one....cheap to maintain too. You'll get people saying SAAB, why.....they haven't owned or driven one lately. Worth a look!

My Ride: 2004 545i TITANIUM GREY II on Black Dakota Lthr, Comfort Seats, Sports PKG, Premium PKG, Active/Dynamic Drive, NAV, Winter Package.
Go with the 545 BUT make sure you HAVE extended warranty. RJH, I agree with you on the Acura, it is the closest to Germans, my wife has the 2007 TL very nice car loaded with toys and enjoyable when driving, it is not an E60 but it is pretty fast and fun to drive.
