Default Bent Wheel Repair Shop, anyone?

Hey guys,

My 20", 3-Piece wheel has a slight bend. I can see it not rolling straight if I look carefully while spinning it by hand. The 2" inch lip will need to be re-chromed in the process as well. Could someone please recommend a shop in the La Mirada, Buena Park or Long Beach-CA areas? What do you think a fair price is for such a job?

LAX Wheels Refinishing Inc. in Los Angeles quoted me $175 to do the job, but it takes a week to get it done.

The vibration seems noticeable when I drive +60 MPH. Do you think it is safe to drive it for a week on the Freeway. Better yet, can I drive with the BMW donut (spare tire) at that speed for one week while the wheel is being repaired? It is the front passenger wheel.

Thanks,

Daniel

US Wheel Repair in El Cajon, CA repairs bent rims. I think they do the repairs on site but send them out to a place in LA for chrome refinishing.

Btw, beware of chrome rims. The chrome eventually fails and leads to leaks.

Good luck!

Thanks, Psam550

1.43 hour drive to the place is a bit far for me. Depending on the costs, I might just refinish all four wheels and strip the chrome to avoid potential leaks in the future...

I got two front wheels straightened by Wheel Repair Specialists. It costed $120 each. They took less than four hours to fix them. All good to go.
