Hi Guys

Long story short my 2005 525i (that I bought in 2007) consumed a litre of oil on average every 500 miles.

The dealer and BMW denied there was a problem untill I got a hold of thier internal info that essentially says they designed the pistons wrong. They released this info to dealers just about the same time that all effected cars ran out of warrenty, I found the info out in 2010 as BM were very tight lipped. If you have the N52 engine then you could be unlucky like me.

If anyone wants more info ask away - I think I have finally fixed the problem but the issue has caused additional mayhem with the head, vanos and lamba. It's taken roughly 2years off and on to work out how to fix it.
