Use pure ACETONE to clean the visors. I posted earlier that laquer thinner does a great job of removing the sticker, but you can still see where the sticker was. I cleaned it up with pure acetone, and the visor looks like new.

Hello,

How are you applying the acetone? I used a cotton makeup pad, and I'm not sure if I used too much or not enough, but there's definitely a shadow where the stickers were. Any advice for finishing it off?

Yes, i used a cotton rag with plenty of acetone (in a well ventilated place). There is a slight shadow after you remove the label - I just soaked the rag in acetone and rubbed the entire side of the visor pretty thoroughly and it's completely clean now.

PS - watch out for that mirror - I broke one and had to replace the visor!

I did this the same day I added my rear reflectors. Used pure acetone (available at most auto supply places and home depot type places). After I removed them I used Simple Green cleaner to get rid of the acetone and clean it up. Looks good.

OK-My experience.
Don't use Goo Off or any variation.
Buy a can of ACETONE from any hardware store or paint shop--several bucks.

Apply liberal amount to label with cloth or paper towel.
WAIT
Apply some more.
Do this until label is SOFT comes off with your thumbnail EASY.
Let the acetone do the work NOT you thumbnail.
When the label is off, liberally apply acetone to the spot and wipe with cloth.
Then use a liberal amount of Windex or water to neutralize what's left and clean any small residue.
Let it dry before you judge any remaining dark spots.

By way of comment:

I tried Goo Off first, then acetone, with a lot of pealing before the label was ready and left the ink outline and dark spot.

Also, the passenger side will always look better, because you won't notice any problems from a distance.
