Would you go for E60 petrol or diesel and why?

I don't believe in that saying diesel cars are more reliable over petrol cars, i think it's all about that little saving in fuel that's all.
I paid £4000 cash for my 530i and if it was diesel i had to pay another £2000 extra so this is more money straight away.
Whenever you say you bought a car straight away the people who thinks about money they ask is it diesel and when you say no it's a petrol they go wild and making you feel bad like you made the biggest mistake in your life, well not for me i'm not rich but i enjoy what i have and i think everyone else should enjoy the smooth and comfortable ride of a big petrol engine.
If petrol was cheap like 40p per liter, everyone would have petrol car and think the best of it.!

My Ride: 2008 550I LOADED, all options except HUD and NV
Petrol (Gas), mainly because I am here in the US and Diesel versions have been non-existent. Maybe, just maybe, we might see the 535d here in the F10, but I doubt anyone is holding their breath.
