Hi
Maybe not with BMW but MY BMW, still like BMW dont get me wrong but for a car that cost around 125.000 US in Thailand and is made in Thailand i think you deserve a good car, maybe i am wrong i dont know.
Unfortunately cars are extremely expensive in Thailand, my wife's aunt just got a new 5 series there. They are more expensive than many houses so you would expect to have a level or reliability or level of customer service that would mitigate that expense.

Sorry to hear about your problems, just hope you got to enjoy it while you were driving it and didn't have to drive in Bangkok!

BMW's moronic insistance of offering only run flat tires and removing the ability to carry a spare tire may push me to look at other makes. I have seen some sweet deals on 911's and Audi S4's lately...

I have one of the few cars that came with run flats AND a spare tire so it was no problem for me to switch to regular tires.
My 2010 doesn't have runt flats with M Sports Package. I most recently owned 2 Lexus LS460's(07 & 08), a 2004 Mercedes SL500 and a 2006 Jaguar XJR and find the BMW to be the best car I've ever driven and/or owned.

This is my third BMW. The problems I've had with any of them have been minor and all have been fantastic to drive. It won't bother me at all if the OP never buys another, we all have different needs from our vehicles.

If reliability is your number one factor in buying a car, maybe you should try a Lexus, Infiniti or Honda. Best of luck!
Call me old fashioned, but- wouldn't reliability be a highly regarded factor in anyone's purchase consideration?

I don' think anyone wants to find themselves routinely on the side of the road in a $50K plus automobile... Or, a $15K automobile, for that matter, no matter how wel it drives, accellerates, or corners.

I think reliability is the one thing all drivers expect from their cars.

This lack of reliability is why I'll think long and hard before I buy another GM vehicle. I went 0 for 2 with my first two, but have never been let down by my subsequent Honda's, Nissan's, or Ford's- and now the BMW.
