I dont know why this is happening. The car came back from its scheduled maintenance service at 45K and for some reason or another whenever it rains and the wiper blades are on for even a few minutes at constant movement, they start skipping. Its really annoying, it wipes the windshield but it drags really hard and sometimes skips as a result. Its like the rubber from the blade gets rubbed off onto the glass and causes some friction. Anyone know how to solve it?

New blades will do. Do you use a wax when you go through a car wash (assuming you do) cleaning the glass well will work.

If blades don't fix it, then you need arms, they are bent and cannot keep the blade perpendicular to the windshield during the stoke each way.
