All of you lusting after the first of the "facelifts": please remember the first of the 545i's. Wait and patience will be your reward. All those stupid quirks will magically disappear
Yeah, I know, it's just hard to see that big a picture right now. All I can see is a shiny white car and a slow moving ship.

It went very fast Entry to Body shiop was on 2/28, entry to asembly on 3/2 and completed on 3/4.

We may very well be on the same boat - not sure how often they sail, but I am guessing its about once a week or so.
OK, I'm completed as of 3/9, you mind if I squeeze in that boat of yours?

I received good news twice yesterday. Me and my wife just found out that we are to have our second child. And on the same day my BMW dealer called and said that I can pick up another baby (BMW 525dT), which I ordered this week, on June 1st.

Now, If we get twins we will not have much space left in the car as our 17 month old son is still in his child seat for along time to go. And I refuse to buy a family van as long as it doesn't say BMW on it. The new X5 would do but it's a bit expensive.

Congratulations! We have another one on the way (baby that is, not car) I won't be replacing my 520D, but my wife has an aging Alfa 147 which is on the way out. I think the 520 should be plenty big enough for two kids though.

Congrats, twice!

The LCI 525dAT (and I hope with auto transmission) is the best buy for you guys!

CWG - My car's been at the port since March 3rd. Did you get any info on when a ship would be sailing for the West Coast?
550ZSP - Sorry, no info on shipping available from the toll free status number. It just says vehicle is at port and no further information is available. I will check in with the Dealer later today. Let us know if you hear anything.

I am still trying to find out how the cars get to the west coast. I am guessing that it is by ship to the east coast and rail or truck to the west coast, but it could be all the way on a ship.

Anyone know how the transportation works to the west coast?

CWG - I have a feeling it may be by ship all the way. I'll try and find out too. If you hear anything about ships leaving Germany or about the process for those of us on the West Coast, let me know...

I just doubt that my car's been sitting at port for a whole week, but, then again, anything's possible...
