First I've heard that premium hi fi, or any upgrade over Logic 7, was available in the US.

It's not an upgrade 'over' L7, but 'premium hi fi' is the upgrade 'to' L7. They are not calling it L7, at least not on the order form, just 677 'premium hi fi.'

It appears to me that there is no "upgrade" either "to" or "over" Logic 7 at all. Although the ordering guide describes 677 as "premium hi-fi," the 2008 Brochure lists the option as "Logic7 sound system with 13 speakers, Surround Sound, and Digital Sound Processing (including two subwoofers)." So "premium hi-fi" is what it's always been.

BMW OC says my car is 'en route', BMW NA (800 number) says the car waiting at the port for a ship, my salesman says the car is at the port in NJ, but not yet at VPC, and the shipping website (after entering the VIN) says my car landed in NY on 4/1 and was taken off the ship on 4/2. I spoke with a cust service rep at the 800 number who says that the car is awaiting transport to go to the ship--but that she may be entirely wrong and not to rely on her.
WTF????? How is it that nobody has a clue where my car is? Does BMW do this intentionally for some reason, or are they really this inept?

Now the car has been officially launched in NY as of yesterday. So we should be hearing something from someone.
