I will keep mine until 2012 if all serves well. And won't buy any of first version of F10 .. better stay and wait for bug fixes.

I need to shave one bimmer off as I'm traveling a lot now and keeping two cars does not make any sense. One has to go. Wife and I would like to keep the 5er but I'm worried about how it will hold up over the long run. This thing has electronics up the wazoo and hasn't been exactly trouble free. My car, knock on wood, has had no problems yet so that's one thing going for it.
I just wanted to hear your thoughts on the subject. Thanks![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)

This is my first BMW and I plan to keep it for as long as it lasts (or until I feel the urge for a newer model, or can justify buying a new one

Maybe its time to set up a group-buy for extended warranty for those of us that are coming up on year 4.

Same here, I'm trying to take really good care of my 2005 545i and hopefully iron out all major bugs before the 6yrs/100K miles warranty expired

Indeed! That's a FABULOUS idea. Now to just get a dealer that will sell a BMW backed warranty on a group buy...
