My Ride: 2009 Alpine White e92 M3
I did about 120mph on the way to Las Vegas, I wanted to go faster and reach the top speed but my 550i started shaking a lil' bit so I released on the gas pedal. Maybe because it windy that time or maybe because I have a sport suspension. I probably need to get some lowering springs or coilovers.

I was impeded by autumn (fall) holiday traffic. My 530d has hit an indicated 250km/h but I'm guessing true speed was a little lower than that.

Highest speed in the E60, 220 km/h.
Highest speed for me: RS4 (2005) 255 km/h...

In the current 545 it's been 105.
In the e34 540 it was about 115 and averaged 93mph between Paducah, KY and Nashville on Christmas day in 2001 by the OBC (speed limit was 65 in KY).
Personal best while driving was 121 in a buddy's '95 Impala SS outside Memphis. He got it to 126 on his next pass. Digital speedo.

My fastest in the E60 is 250km/h (156mph) before the limiter kicked in. In the C200 I've done 260km/h (162mph), on a long and slightly downhill desert road. It seems that BMW's speed limiter is way more accurate than Mercedes. My cruising speed in both cars is between 220km/h and 240km/h (137-150mph).
And yes, we don't have many traffic cops in these remote parts of Africa.

The fastest I've been in on my 550i is 150/155 MPH according to the speedometer
My portable GPS says that I was only going 145 MPH though, so I don't know which is more accurate.
The car just won't go past 150 MPH cause of the speed limiter I guess, if it wasn't there I'd surely have tested it to its max potential. I heard the V8 550s can go up to 186 MPH with no limiter?
