That is what I'm talking about!

Everyone else who posted speeds without pics...I have news for you. No pics=Never Happened!!
We are so used to driving faster than the 200km/h mark, that it's no big deal to us. I think it's kinda silly to drive around at 250km/h with a camera in one hand like a Japanese tourist, taking snaps of your speedometer. I cruise at 250km/h, not because I want to impress my buddies with pics of my speed, but simply to get faster from point A to point B.

My Ride: 535i 6-speed
Model Year: 2008
Default

'08 535i = ~130mph... a group of hopped up Dodge Challengers or Magnums or something (some kind of club I think) was flying down the Interstate and I just jumped in line. I didn't really check remember my speed, but it was about 130 or so...felt like 80.

'97 911 = 170mph... I ramped up to 150mph just for the fun of it, then pressed the gas slightly and it was at 160 like nothing...sooo...I just punched it to the floor...amazing how quick it goes from 150 to 160 to 170. Weird thing...the car felt more stable (less wind movement on the car) the faster I went.

'95 525i = 155mph... I had just gotten a Dinan chip and wanted to verify that they had removed the speed limiter...they did.

'90 325i = ~110mph... it had about 100,000 miles at the time and I didn't want to push it too hard.

I really don't see myself doing any more REALLY high speed runs. 1 - I've done it...and it is cool and lots of fun. 2 - If I were to have some sort of mechanical failure, I would very likely die...I've got a wife and son and don't want to leave them alone. 3 - I can't even imagine what kind of trouble I would be in if the cops caught me...

Lastly, not knowing too much about the law,and not wanting to take any chances...I guess I should say that all the above is really not true and that I am making it up...

I have to agree... that's why that picture was taken by a friend in the back seat.

It was taken on the A3 heading west from Muenchen.
